TEDxLAKECOMO / AL MARGINE DEL CAOS
CREATIVE DIRECTION - VISUAL DESIGN

CLIENT: TEDxLAKECOMO
CAT:    CREATIVE DIRECTION
        VISUAL DESIGN
YEAR:   2024

Al margine del Caos (The edge of chaos) has been the title for the 14 edition of TEDxLakeComo.

The edge of chaos theory proposes that the world is governed by two fundamental states: order and disorder. Both are static conditions devoid of inherent purpose. However, life can only emerge at the edge where these two states intersect, finding balance between structure and unpredictability. This concept forms the foundation of the event's visual identity.

Gerolamo Saibene - TEDxLakeComo organizer

The particles are the central element of this identity. They transition seamlessly between states of order and chaos, creating dynamic movement and defining all communication assets, both in print and digital formats.

A tote bag with order particles on one side and disorder particles on the other was given away, along with some welcome gadgets, to each spectator at the event.

A loop of particles of different sizes and with different movements welcomed the audience through an animated portal.

Luca Berdondini -  Microneurotechnologist

Sara Santi (Queen of Saba) -  Singer and activist

A 3-stage animation was designed for each of the 18 speakers: the speaker's cover presentation, the "video in," in which the speaker could broadcast his slides in the left-hand space, and the "video out," which prepared the screen for the next speaker's presentation.

Patricia Urquiola -  Architect and designer

Alberto Felice De Toni - Emeritus in management engineering

For the wayfinding system, a classic totem was designed, accompanied by a physical installation of an arrow composed of particles.

Ilaria Capponi - Communication consutant

Matteo Cerri - Neurophysiologist

Manlio Graziano - Geopolitical analyst
